I have been blessed and honored that my manuscript and illustrations for my children's book were accepted by Tate Publishing Company! As soon as my new book is available in bookstores across the nation I will let everyone know! My friend, Charles W. Redman, Jr., who is the wand maker in my first unpublished children's book, Out Of The Blue The Day Became Green, is co-author of the new book. His poetic depth of speaking was a perfect addition to my story and I could not resist asking him to speak for himself as his character, the wand maker. After a tribe of fairies traveled across the sea, King Q decided to establish a new kingdom on a hill with glittering trees that beckoned them to rest. After hundreds of years of solitude, a young human couple of faith, Claire and Jerome, wandered near and chose to build a home, unknowingly, beside this fairy kingdom. The couple's first winter there quickly passed and when spring arrived Claire gave birth to a child whom the fairies grew to love. Fairy Moonflower began a diary of Edna May on the day she was born. She is the only human the fairies have ever known from birth, and her incredibly long life was a mere blink of an eye compared to the timeless lives of the fairies. Toothy collected the first and last of Edna May's teeth, which was a milestone for her as this was her first complete set from a human. Even though Edna May could not see the fairies, her faith in them was kept throughout her life. The fairies gather to hear Moonflower read their favorite book of human lore, Edna May of Thumbprint Hill, during story time to this very day! Many of the illustrations in the new book are paintings that I sold on eBay or commissioned in the past, so you might be surprised to find that you, or someone you know, might already own one of the originals! The illustrations also include my newest paintings that I currently possess. Scroll down to see a few of the illustrations from this book, not yet on store shelves. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Return Home | Great Links | Blueshack in the woods | My Children's Book! | Children's Book!
